BEARWWW strives to create an online space for community, safety, expression and connection. If someone makes you feel uncomfortable on the app, we encourage you to block them. If they violate our Community Guidelines, please report them.

Reporting

If you encounter behavior that violates our Community Guidelines, we strongly encourage you to report it. All member reports are sent to our moderation team for evaluation. Keep in mind that reporting a profile does not block it, be sure to tap the Block button if you no longer want to see (or be seen by) someone.

Report a profile

Here are the quick steps to follow to report:

Select the profile of the user you want to report.
You will see the block icon in the upper left corner of the profile.
A context menu appears - choose Report.
After choosing to report, select the category that best fits your situation:

  • Illegal activity
  • Spam
  • Harassment or intimidation
  • Hate speech/discrimination
  • Nudity or pornography
  • Minors
  • Identity theft
  • After selecting the category - tap Next.

Describe what happened to help us with reporting.
Indicate where the offense took place:

  • Profile picture
  • Profile information
  • Chat message
  • Album content

We'll ask you if you want to include your last 30 chats with the reported person.
Review your report before submitting it.
After pressing Submit, a thank you message appears.
Report users who blocked you

Note: This feature is currently only available in certain locations. If a BEARWWW user has blocked you, you will no longer have any way to view or contact that profile. However, we understand that sometimes users who abuse our rules block you before you can report them. In these cases, follow the steps below to report users who have violated our guidelines before blocking you:

  • Go to your Settings.
  • Select “Report recent chat”.
  • Find the profile you want to report.
  • Follow the standard reporting steps outlined above.

Please keep in mind that being blocked in itself is not a reportable offense. Use this feature responsibly.

Blocking

Reporting a profile does not block it as well.

Make sure to press the block button if you no longer want to see (or be seen by) anyone else. Once you block another profile, that person will no longer see you on the app and all chats with them will be deleted from your inbox.

To block a specific person:

  • Select the profile of the user you want to block.
  • Tap the block icon.
  • A context menu appears - choose Block.
  • Confirm the block by selecting Yes.
  • Unblock profiles

You can unblock users you previously blocked at any time.

To do this :

  • Access your Profile.
  • Select Settings.
  • Scroll down to the Security and Privacy section.
  • Select Unblock Users.
  • Choose the user you want to unblock.
  • Confirm unlocking by pressing OK.
