BEARWWW Web Troubleshooting Guide

BEARWWW Web is the browser-based version of BEARWWW, which you can use on your laptop, smartphone or tablet. You can see who's nearby, chat and much more - without having to download the BEARWWW app!


Connection

You can log in to BEARWWW Web at web.BEARWWW.com/ with your usual BEARWWW credentials (email and password, or via a third party). BEARWWW Web is supported by the following browsers:

  • Chrome (version 111.0.5 and later)
  • Firefox (version 111.0.1 and later)
  • Microsoft Edge (version 111.0 and later)
  • Safari (version 16.3 and later)

Note : It is not currently possible to create a new BEARWWW account using BEARWWW Web. All new accounts must be created using the BEARWWW app.

Stay connected

Once connected, you will have the option to Stay Connected. Enable this option to stay logged in, or disable it to be logged out after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Access to location

Location access and pop-ups are required to use BEARWWW Web. You will need to accept location permissions when prompted by your browser (or follow the browser-specific steps below) and make sure pop-ups are allowed on your browser.

Google Chrome:

  1. Click the three vertical dots icon in the right corner of your browser window, then select Settings.
  2. Click Privacy & Security.
  3. Go to Site Settings and select Location.
  4. Allow BEARWWW to access your location via the “Sites can request your location” pop-up.

Firefox:

  1. Go to web.BEARWWW.com .
  2. Click the information icon next to the website URL.
  3. Go to Permissions.
  4. Select Location.

Desktop version of Safari:

  1. Click “Safari” in the upper left corner of your screen (from your computer menu).
  2. Select Preferences then Websites.
  3. Go to Location, select BEARWWW, then choose Allow.
  4. Return to web.BEARWWW.com and allow BEARWWW Web to access your location.

iOS version of Safari:

  1. Make sure you are not in private browsing mode. Safari automatically blocks location services in private browsing mode.
  2. Open iOS Settings.
  3. Select Privacy.
  4. Select Location Services then Safari.
  5. Once here, make sure you have allowed Safari to access your location "When Using the App."
